to be safe consider the name of the manufacturer

I believe that products are safer if they have a brand name. Why? It is because they cannot establish brand name without passing any standards. Products with brand names have quality control compared to those products that are non branded. A product can be "leading" if they have built a reputation in the market. It means that there a lot of consumers who were satisfied using these leasing products. So, why don't take the word of the satisfied consumers? Right?

Yes!I have the habit of relying on brand names.Because,they would have qualified themselves in earning and establishing the brand and the reputation will make them grow well in quality.Also,they will have good machines and skilled labours now.So it is wise to rely on brands.Cheers!
