Are you comfortable to tell your parents that you love them?

i talk to my mom a couple of times a day and usually i tell her i love her at some point, if not every day, every other. you see, my dad passed away in early february and well, life is too short not to tell the people you care about how you feel about them.

Personally I dont have any amicable feelings towards my own parents, so I wouldnt even attempt to make a gesture.

I have always been very open to my parents. I have always hugged & kissed both my mom & daddy. And I always kiss my kids too. And we are very open with each other too. I have always been straight with my girls. My husband gets upset with me & tells me I am too honest with the girls. I told him I am not going to tell my kids lies no matter what they ask me. I guess because I have been so open & tell my parents anything that is why I can be so open with my girls. I have even been able to talk to my daddy about female things too. After my mom died I talked to him about the intimate thing too & told him do not become the kind of man that is well a womanizer. I love my daddy & he is good man & I at that time felt like I was the parent trying to protect him. Me & my daddy is so close that his wife is very jealous of me. I guess she can't stand the fact that he tells me things & talks to me about things he can not talk to her about because she is the kind of person that you can not talk to.

This is a very touching and emotional discussion, that's what I feel.....I think everybody should love and must show their parents that how much they love them....however, honestly...I never done this....I never told my parents about the love that I have in my heart about them...In fact I never though that there is any need to show them about this...however..reading your discussion and other responses here I feel how much is it important.....I will try it today itself...thank you....

Hi my friend Inkyuboz, me i am very comfortable to tell to my parents that i love them for the reason i am very open to them. Everyday i always tell them that i really love them and after saying that i go for a kiss. And if ever i have a problem in my life, i always tell because i know they will understand me in many reason and as i know, they were always here at my side to guide me and to help me to correct my mistake. I can say that being open to your parents is a big advantage to other, because if your are not open to your parents, you do not have a guide to solve the trials in your life. Well in our country most of the people who are not open to their parents always do bad things for the reason they do not know what is good and what is bad. Sometimes with this matter they just get crazy and just go in the street and take some drugs to avoid and escape from the sorrowness in their lives. Well as i remember, my fatheq always told me that if ever i have a friend that who needs help and a simple advice, i must help them in the proper way to avoid them from going to the wrong way of there life. I am hoping that there is also a good institute that may help our country to put the children that are abandon to avoid the low market exchange. . . My mom passed away almost 2 years ago and up until that time I had never heard my dad say he loves me. I heard him tell my husband he love him but he had never said it to me. I began telling him every time I talked to him that I love him and finally, he says it back to me. After my mom died, my sisters and I became very close to our father. Tell everyone you love that you love them..........you never know! I told my mother every day and she told me that she loved me.

The word " Parents" It self has meaning of love. We, the children could be considered the property of our parents. Our parents like us very much. They give us lot of love. They are cause of our birth. They born us and also comfort us to grow. up. They do every thing to make us safe and strong, they bare troubles, they protect us from so many dangers, They make us learn, read and write. They deserve for our love. But we have no words to tell or show that we love them. " I love you" is not enough sentence to tell our inner selves. So I don't like to use the phrase" I love you" for my parents.
