Is anyone there still use DOS?  

I think small parts of us will use the DOS.They can put the system into the virtual Machine,then run it at the environment of Windows XP or other systems.They will learn to know how the DOS works.As you know,it's difficult to use it for there are so many orders to grasp,and it's also unnecessary for ordinary users to grasp.I just know a little about it.

most of the time I will use Shell on linux...

i don't use DOS. i don't like it either before. anyways, i think that what we have now is much better. but i think that we can still go to DOS if we wanted to use it. but it is such a big hassle to use DOS. isn't DOS mean Disk Operating System. and so we have to keep using the diskette to run the computer. i just don't remember actually what or how we used before. though i remember what i do. i just don't remember what is DOS actually. i hated those times cause there are no internet back then when DOS is popularly used. and i never thought that they will get passed it and that we will use new things like what we are using now in replacement to DOS>

yes I still use DOS and command prompt. I also play my old DOS games!

Im still using DOS. for reformatting hardisk.

I still use dos currently as I think it is still useful sometimes. When windows can not boot properly, we still need booting our computer into dos mode for computer troubleshooting and maintenance if we don't want to install a new operating system. Dos may help us to solve many basic computer problems. For example, the dos command "fdisk /mbr" may help to fix the main boot record when our pc can not boot properly sometimes. This command can also help to remove the linux boot loader when you don't want linux to exist in your computer any longer. We'd better remember and grasp the basic dos commands for future complicated problems.
