I am home and it's time for steak email this discussion to a friend?

I am home.
Ball game's over.
Kid threw a 1-hitter, lost the bid for a no-no in the top of the seventh with one out. Bummer.
That said, I have about an 8-ounce inch thick cut of London Broil, no fat hardly. This is the hunk I cut into four servings. I've got the cast iron skillet heating up and I'm about to fry this bad boy up. I don't have a grill or smoker yet so I'm relegated to pan-frying in my cast iron skillet. I cover the steak in dry rub, my own special mixture of herbs and spices, heat up the skillet til it gets good and hot and flash fry this thing.
I prefer slow cooking in a smoker or grilling over an open flame, but this works in a pinch.
How do you prefer your steak cooked and what method do you like?

I do not eat steak very often because of the price and what not. But I do like it most on a grill. Preferably I like the steak medium well. I am not like alot people in that I do not like my steak medium rare or anything like that. I also prefer some sort of smoky or sweet barbequee sauce on it to.

When it comes to a good steak, you knock off the horns, wipe off its rear end and run it on through.
I want that cut of meat saying "Moo!" as they put it on my plate.

I like steak. I havent that many that I dont like. I think steak is one of the great pleasures in life. I think that there are many steaks that I am fond of and that I really like alot. I havent had London Broil that many times but I think it would be a steak that I would like. YUm yum

I buy a cut called flat iron steak. It is a very tender cut of steak that surprisingly comes from the shoulder, I believe. I have a George Forman Grill. Turn it on, heat it up, cook 5-7 minutes. Medium rare. I will dust it with Canadian Steak Seasoning and just shortly will have a wonderful steak.

I don't really care for seasonings on my steak, because I like the taste of the meat not all the additives.

And I like my steak rare, however it is cooked.

I dotn really cook steaks to often and if I do its just somthing for dinner. I always buy the real thin steaks.. I usually put them in some butter with some sazoon and adobo and some garlic salt and some tenderizer and bake them in the oven. Yea probally an un healthy fatty way to cook them but man is it good:P..

I like mine rare, and as the grill is out of action, I cook it in the oven for just six minutes. Before I put it in, I brush it with melted butter and pepper it well. Then when done, I make a pepper gravy and pour just a little on the steak, then serve with chips and stir fried vegetables, comprising peppers, onion, tomatoes and mushrooms. Yummy!

Sounds yummy. I have a difficult time fixing London Broil. It jumst doesnot seem to be tender. I like my steak rare and the only way London Broil gets tender is if its well done. Do you marinate the meat for a few hous? a day?
