Limp Bizkit is reuniting, but does anyone care?  

You may remember the late '90s: The aggro rap-rock. The snotty, carefree pop-punk. But do you care?Two dude rock bands from back in the day announced reunions recently, and the reaction has been a collective yawn.At the Grammys last month, the members of sophomoric but lovable pop-punk trio Blink-182 announced that they were reuniting.Even with drummer Travis Barker making his first major appearance post plane crash, the golf-clap response was tepid at best. A few days later, knuckleheaded "Nookie" enthusiasts Limp Bizkit announced that they were getting the nu-metal gang back together, too. (The latest rumblings are that Creed will also be back in 2009.) Since then I have yet to find a single person who cares. Which seems crazy now, considering that less than 10 years ago these groups were selling millions of records and filling arenas. (But of course, so were the Backstreet Boys.)They represented the commercial heights - and in Limp Bizkit's case, creative lows - of their respective movements. So, where are all the frat boys who also felt, acutely, that they needed something to break? What about those starter punks who "na-na-na-na"-ed away junior high school? Maybe they'll show themselves when tickets actually go on sale. But in these tough economic times, the two groups might want to consider banding together - and perhaps even raising bail money for the also-preserved-in-amber DMX - in order to launch the first serious, like, really dope, '90s nostalgia tour.So Limp Bizkit is reuniting, but does anyone care?
