Single better?

I prefer to be single as I am a very independent person, I prefer to steer myn own life rather than have to comprimise with someone else, as most of my married friends they tend to always go their husbands way....

I get up everyday with the only thing to look forward to is my future. I have been a gamer for 3 years and it drains the fun out of everything else. Nothing seems to be fun anymore. By playing video games, I have become an anti socialist because for 2 years I didn't realize that I was wasting some of the best years of my life. Now, I realize it and I don't know what to say or do to meet new people. I don't know any good "conversation starters" or "moves" and it seems I'm not getting any better.

I have just summed up 3 years of my life up till today to make a point. Being single is great for a while, but after a while everything else will lose its value to you and its nice to be able to wake up knowing there is someone that wants to be with you as much as you want to be with them. Giving you something to look forward to when there's nothing else to wake up for.

Sorry for such a long reply, but this is the best way I thought I could express my opinion.

Being alone has its own pros and cons. When you are with somebody you have to somehow consider his/her opinion in most of the things you do, as opposed to the single person that decides things on its own. This may turn out useful as you feel more risk free on your own, but sometimes a sincere advice from someone who really loves you is more than helpful. You got to figure that out...it depends on the person,.

i got married 29 years old. and when i was 25 i said it is better to be single and to just be minding myself. feed myself and can sleep all day. watch tv or play games. i work for myself and do all for myself.... along came karen. when you meet someone that will make you realize that there is life more than what you have right now. i am married for 6 years and we have a three year old son.
