If you did have faith in the God's healing power it want work. This who come to Him must believe he exist. Believe in God and his power and you shall be healed.

There is a saying: "There is scientific evidence that a person's mind has the capability to produce extended healing; that certain phenomena usually referred to as miracles may actually exist in the realm of what a human mind is capable of producing."
Perhaps some of the faith healers are able to produce stimulus that "unlocks" the healing power in a person's mind. i.e. assuming it is not direct Divine intervention ...
