Need help with PC?  | |  The problem is videos don't play on my PC. I recently had to format my PC and have installed Windows XP SP3 (64bit). .wmv files does not play in Windows Media Player. I installed KMplayer, VLC player and also CCPA codec. Still none of the videos play. Whenever I try to play a video the system becomes extremely slow as if it were hung. Music files play well.

 VANILLAREY (1175) | 9 months ago | When I had bought the Graphic card, it took me quite some time to get it installed(changing display from onboard chip to VGA etc). I still faced problems with playing movies in good quality and PC display quality. I later went to nVIDIA site and downloaded the driver. Finding the right driver was also a hassle. After installing the new driver movies and display was good.
After formatting, the driver which came with the graphic card package was installed. This time the PC display quality was good. So I did not suspect the driver. And I was afraid of hassle I might face if the driver was uninstalled in order to install the new one.
After reading your suggestion I gather my guts and downloaded the latest nVIDIA driver from its site. While installing I found that my windows XP was 32bit not 64 bit.
After installing the new Windows XP 32bits nVIDIA driver, movie files play well. Display is good. Happiness at last:-) | |

If everthing was ok before formatting then I doubt codec only. I hope you must be playing from HDD instead of CD for better trouble shooting.
