They Don't Have Mass Shootings in Texas  

The same is true for my neck of the woods down here in Florida. We don't really carry our weapons because we feel the need for protection here...we carry them because most of the folks around here like guns. And then there's the issue of the snakes....

The question is whether we, as innocent citizens have the ability to access guns at all. Some mad people just take out gun and shoot people randomly, without reasons. Our government allowed guns to be sold to anyone easily, without stricted restrictions. We should take more control on gun controls. Enough tragedies to happen nowadays.

Y'know...the Constitution doesn't say "you have the right to bear arms unless you have been convicted of a felony"...at least, when it was written it didn't...so what makes you think they can't take YOUR gun?

same here in Arizona. we have occassional drive by shootings but not as many as you would expect in large cities because most households have an arsenal and people do shoot back.

I would suggest everyone take the time to study our Constitution and The Declaration of Independence. It's a great feeling when you know your principles to be pure...
And, when you finish studying it, study it and read it again and again and again.

You know another reason why they don't have shootings like that in Texas?

Because there is an express line to Capital Punishment! They also still have chain gangs. And if you torque off the wrong warden, you get to do the chain gang in a pink jumpsuit.

I don't believe the government should/is protecting me. And they can't buy me off with the promise of healthcare and welfare. People who need these things don't qualify, so why bother?

And they can have my gun when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

I think for me the scary part is realizing how many people are walking around with guns in my area, but by having gotten them illegally. Where I am there are an awful lot of gangs and you can just bet they are all carrying So yup--would make sense to be able to own a gun legally and carrying...just in case

Anyone who thinks that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights is talking about the rights of anyone but the individual, as in the rights of the people against whatever the government might wish to do to violate those rights, has no idea what they are talking about and shut just shut the hell up.

That includes any of the amendments and any other thing in the Constitution... which is the defining document on the limits of the government against the people.

The 2nd Amendment has absolutely nothing to do with hunting or sporting events of any kind, and has everything to do with protecting ourselves from an out of control government... especially our own.

Anyone who claims anything differently than that truth has shown themselves to be a fool who doesn't know what they are talking about... and that includes Supreme Court Justices such as Souter who doesn't believe the Constitution was meant as a way to limit government power on behalf of the people.

Frankly, I have had my fill of activist judges who legislate from the bench in opposition to the laws that the people voted on and decided.

The time has come to start dragging these judges out of their courthouses and answering for their crimes directly to the people whose laws they are ignoring and ruling against.

The time has come to take our country back from an evil and oppressive government at every level... from the lowliest city clerk, to the thieving Congress, and the ineligible usurper in the White House.

THAT is the reason for the 2nd Amendment, and that is the reason that our government is constantly trying to find new ways to control the availability of guns... because they are afraid of what the people will do when the government finally goes too far... and it will.

For all of those foreigners who like to weigh in on US politics.... you have no dog in the fight, and it is none of your concern.... so keep your opinions to yourself, as you have n clue as to what you are even talking about.

To all of the Americans who are in favor of gun control... get educated really fast... because you also have no clue.

Otherwise, I hope you like slavery... because the government wants to be your master instead of your servant.

in the early 70's i bartended in houston, and everyone carrying had to give me their pistols for lock up while in the restrauant, no excuses. but i did notice texan's would rather have a good brawl than pop someone. i still dont get england all muslims and they dont carry im glad there's a really big ocean between us.
