Are examinations the best way to test a childs knowledge?  | |  We all agree to the fact that Unforeseen circumstances arise from time to time. Back in my school days, i remember this guy who we knew was a smart kid, but our examinations came and went this same smart kid performed poorly. Why? Then we found out that his suppose father happened not to be his father....total lose of concentration, physically and mentally disorganized......you name it. Now this is just one case. These are lots of other unforeseen circumstances which i think you have got idea about. I have always pondered about a better way of testing a childs knowledge. Thought of this?

Unbreakable28 (122) | 8 months ago |  I always felt that while standardized testing has it's place a better indicator of both a child's intelligence and the best way to teach that child is through the uses of sight, sounds and colors. How does the child respond to stimuli? I personally plan to try and expose my child to many different forms of music, books, art, etc to see what they respond to best, but also not overstimulate them. I do think that nature and nurture are huge factors in a child's development as well, but I think that nurture is a bigger factor then nature.
