Is your desk top computer on a computer desk or table?   

Ha ha ha. That was being resourceful I believe. No matter what table we use for our computer desktop, as long as it serves the purpose, will be alright. For me, I am using a computer table I bought 4 years ago and I am still using it. I don't have the kind of lumber you have in there. Yeah, your sister will be laughing when she see's your innovation!

Well I have a laptop, but yes I rested on a desk, I found yours creative and practical. Good for you!

I have my desktop on a wooden desk that i got for $5 at the salvation army lol. Your table is ingenious and reminds me of what I do sometimes for my laptop, it gets really hot during the summer time and if you rest it on a pillow on your lap it will over heat so sometimes what i do is rest it on a folded monopoly board to keep it from over heating or getting my lap too hot.

My computer desk for my desktop is a computer armior - has the keyboard tray and printer try but you can close it all up behind the doors when company comes over. My laptop tends to end up on my lap, the foot stool or my bed.

I have a computer desk for my desktop computer but before I found a desk I liked I was using a small file cabinet and had to put the speakers on the floor. It worked and didn't take too much room.

I have a desktop, but it's really old so I don't use it that often. Currently it is set up on the floor since I don't use it regularly. I plan on someday getting a new desktop. I mostly use my laptop. About 99% of the time I sit on the couch with my laptop on my lap. I also use my boyfriend's desktop while he's at work. That is the computer I am using right now as I type this! And it is set up on a computer table with one of those pull out drawer thingies for the keyboard and everything!

I am not using a regular desk right now for my computer. I actually have my computer on an older kitchen table. It is off to the side of the dining room in the corner out of the way. I like it cause it is nice and big and there is room for all my junk on it.

I have a proper desk that I did manage to get for free, but I will never part with it.
It's huge and fits everything I want on it.
It has a pull-out draw for the computer keyboard which makes it nice and easy to type.
On the main part of it I have A stereo, computer speakers, stereo speakers, a digital piano, and various stereo components that don't actually work but I hoard things so I cannot bring myself to throw them out haha. I also have my computer monitor on the desk, but the actual computer sits under my desk as it is the only thing that would not fit on the desk. :-)

lol, that was very creative of you, dude! I use a lap top and I rest it anywhere I can usually use it XD. Desk, table, sofa, my lap =P. hmm, but we do have a desk top also, and it stands over a shelf, we used to have it on a computer desk but after we moved, our new apartment has no space to put it... than we had to use something else.

There's no problem with that. I think you did great with improvising on items or materials that are available around you. You did something great, but still, its better if you'll put it on a real computer table 'coz it might get visible scratches over time, especially with that kind of lumber. Invest on one soon. :)
