On April 7, 2009, the North Dakota House of Representatives passed House Concurrent Resolution 59 (HR59) “affirming North Dakota’s sovereignty under the 10th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States and to demand the federal government halt its practice of assuming powers and imposing mandates on the states for purposes not enumerated in the Constitution of the United States.”

| |  Theres been more than one. Either north or south carolina passed on a few weeks ago. Roughly 20 states have similar resolutions in the works right now.

| |  I am all for this bill by North Dakota. I just wish that Texas was recognized as a soverneign nation again. I am tired of Texas being a part of the United States and having to put up with the United Stated federal government. We had FEMA down here after Hurricane Ike and Fema helped very few people. FEMA is useless in my estimation. We would do a lot better in TEXAS just being our own country and running our own affairs instead of Washington running our lives for us.

| | I'm not sure how many have passed it. Several anyway. Something you have to understand though rose. this isn't just about Obama or even the democrats in congress. It is about the entire federal government. When you assign this to a particular president or part, it drives people away from it and diminishes the cause. | | | |
