Chantix worked!!!  | |  I started taking Chantix to help me quit smoking. I've tried quitting on my own before, but always ended up starting again after a couple days. Well, I am proud to say I have gone 1 month and 8 days with no cigarettes! I'm so proud of myself. Chantix really worked. And the best part is, the doctor told me that most people need to be on it for a couple months, maybe more, before they're finally able to quit. I only had to take it for 2 weeks and I quit smoking. I feel so much healthier! I can breathe better and I can actually walk without getting out of breath. Anyone who needs to quit smoking, try Chantix! I think it's like $60 for a month's supply. Don't hold me to that, because insurance covered mine. But I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in the $60 range. I've heard of 2 other people taking it after I did, and it worked for them too. It's a very successful tool for quitting smoking. Have any other mylotters tried Chantix? Did it work for you? How long did you have to take it before you finally quit smoking?

Some say not to take it if you have bouts with depression, you have 'wild' dreams, nausea, etc. I've had a prescription for months now, it still sits on my kitchen counter top until I hear what side effects others have had to deal with..........

| AdTe23 (1700) | 9 months ago | LOL, you sound like me! I did the exact same thing, only I had them for about 2 weeks before I took them. It does say that it can make depression worse, but it's not guaranteed. I went through depression a little over a year ago, and I was fine when I took Chantix. And yes, it can make you have weird dreams, but nothing horrible. I drempt just weird stuff, like going to an abandoned house and walked around the inside and looked at all the rooms. No one was there except me, and it was during daylight, so it wasn't scary. All the symptoms are just annoying things. Nothing that can actually hurt you, except of course, the depression. But honestly, you will be able to tell if the pill makes your mood worse. If it does, just call your doctor and let them know. Don't take anymore pills until you talk to your doctor. | |

She was smoking when she conceived a couple of times and she miscarried both of them. Her doc told her if she wanted to get pregnant and stay pregnant she should quit smoking... she did and she is now pregnant again and fixing to enter her 2nd trimetster. I'm really proud of her.

I know of 2 people who are using the Chantix right now and both are doing great!
I quit also, tomorrow it will be one month of not smoking!!
It's great hearing about others that have quit smoking, be strong!!
