Has Anyone Tried Magnesium Supplement for Fibro |
| |
| I have been reading some new studies that are saying magnesium supplement can actually help Firbromyalgia. My mom has this disorder, and has had it for many years. The studies say that because magnesium helps to repair nerve, and muscles, as well as maintain their health, that may explain why the supplements help. I am curious if anyone has tried this, and had positive results. | | | | | |

| | I dont have fibro but I tried a Magnesium and calcium supplement for my nerves. This helps a bit. I would think that it might help a bit for fibro. Has your mother tried Guaifenison for fibro? They say this will help. | | | | | | |

| | I have Chronic Fibromyalgia but I have not heard of this, so thank you for this information. I will talk with my Doctor and see what he says. I currently take Lyrica which makes my chronic pain liveable to a degree. | | | | | | |

| | She wont take Lyrica because it makes her drowsy, and she can not work. If you have good results with the Mg let us all know. Good luck. | | | |

| | i was diagnosed w/ fibro nearly 2 yrs ago...have tried soooo many things! my chiropractor also has fibro. she suggested that i soak in epsom salts. (2 cups in a tubfull). she says the magnesium will soak in through your pores and really help...i also take magnesim supplements. have you ever heard of eft...it is a form of tapping. google it to learn the points to tap (sort of accupuncture w/o the needles) i tap daily and it helps as well. fibro is just difficult and we all react so differently..hope this helps! all the best to you. | | | | | | |

| | I have heard that magnesium helps. Years ago it was suggested that I try a calcium magnesium combination tablet which I did, but I don't think I took it long enough to know if really helps. I think I may try to the epsom salt bath and see if that helps. I have recently heard of EFT in fact I have been getting emails on it. I don't know how I heard about it but I thought it would be interesting to try. | | | |

| | I take a lot of suppliments and meds. Gabapentin and Salsalate (sp?) for meds and Vitamin D, Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc and Ginko. That combo is the only thing that I have found works for me. I can tell if I miss one of the suppliments (especially that vit. D). | | | | | | |

| | Hmm that is interesting. Vit D more towards Osteoporosis than Fibro which is muscular. That is interesting, thank you for sharing. | | | |
