You are right--when I heard about that and then read it, it just strengthened my resolve to honor Christ. I wonder if this is the beginning of the end times?

We suppose Mission churches in Sudan where there is a lot of persecution and instead of losing members, they are gaining them. So persecution has does not have the effect that the ungodly would like. They think by making it hard, that we will give up, but we have a sure hope in Jesus Christ our Lord and a mansion waiting in Heaven for each one of us.

That is the ultimate triumph of Christ--whenever believers have been persecuted, love for God grew and flourished.

I'm glad you said that and that many people will read your words. Islam does recognize Jesus, people in my country have been taught the past 8 years to think Islam is a religion of hate. They don't read the Koran--I've read a little but not all--and they don't understand the basics of the religion, which has so much in common with Christianity.

There are people saying that our President is a Muslim--then why would he want the name of Jesus covered? I think it's something more sinister than anyone can imagine and I hope I'm wrong.

I guess I forgot to mention the fact that I am an American as well. People often assume that just because someone is a Muslim that they must be from another country. Its all good, though. I get this a lot in my town, since I am the only Muslim revert in town besides the children.

That is so wrong, there is the Constitution to consider, everyone has a right to speak about whatever they wish, but unfortunately employers have a right to set whatever rules they want in the workplace, even if they are in conflict with freedom of speech. Stinks and I wish it were not so, but it is what it is. I hope you were able to find alternative employment without too much difficulty.

I spent 28 years in Arizona and watched the ACLU and other groups beat down any form of religious expression. When I left, 2 years ago, church bells were silent, nativities weren't allowed on public property, you couldn't display religious art in a public window, etc. Muslims could broadcast their call to worship (which is quite beautiful) 5 times a day but a Christian church could be sued for ringing their bells because they might offend someone.

I'm in Ohio now and it's like going back to my childhood. Billboards on the freeway have the ten commandments, rail against abortion (and for it), church bells ring the hour and play hymns, the nativity is displayed at Christmas in public and the Ten Commandments grace the lawn of our courthouse. I feel safe here.

You're right, the world is becoming evil and our nation is being destroyed. It's no longer freedom of religion, it's becoming a tool to destroy Christianity because let's face it, Christianity is the only religion under attack. Let's pray for a quick conclusion.

I think your employer violated your rights when he punished you for speaking privately to your friend. Look into it and if you can, strike a blow for freedom.

His stand on partial birth murder is what swayed me to vote for McCain. I don't care how "cool" he is, how nice he is, or how well he speaks--he doesn't care if babies are murdered. He scares me and the day he was elected I cried because I knew the country would go downhill even farther.

Yes, the country is in for a rude awakening. All the money that Obama is spending on the supposed rebates is going to cost someone somewhere majorly as well. Those babies that he hasn't succeeded in killing with partial birth abortions will be left to pay for all of this crap that Obama is pulling as well. Our little grandchildren and their children will be the ones who pay the highest price for the voters choice in this last election.

What is the reasoning behind partial birth abortion, anyway? Why not just let the child be born and put up for adoption? It makes no sense to me to let a child go through the birth canal only to kill it in such a barbaric way. I've not been able to find any good reasons for this, aside from the fact that it is just legalized infanticide. Do you know?

Honestly, I couldn't begin to tell you. All I know is that it is sick and disgusting. It is supposed to be meant for extreme cases, but I know of at least one case that was done within my family unit because, to me it appears, it was just more convenient to not have the baby. It broke my heart and still does. Honestly it just angers me beyond anything that I can even state. There is no good reason for this to happen. Maybe we should ask Obama the reason he would see fit to allow this to happen :-)

Your last point is a favorite of those who are against any form of religion. Those days are done, they were wrong, and I hope those sick monsters who did those things have been somehow punished in the afterlife.

3)George Bush Senior declare war and spend billions to liberate Kuwait... but make the major blunder of not removing Saddam Hussein from power when he has the chance to do so.
4)Terrorism start as a result.
5)Ten years go by... and George Bush becomes president.
6)As a result of another Bush in power... 9/11 happens.
7)Bush launch another war in Irak at a cost of trillions.
8)Terrorism escalate world wide.
9)As a result... countries around the world are forced to spend billions on security against terrorism.

And you wonder why we have a world financial crisis?
The world has spent all its money fighting terrorism for almost 10 years.
Those trillion amongst trillion went down a big drain pipe... instead of contributing to the economy and productivity.

I would like to give him a chance because I'm not sure whether he has no idea what he's doing or if he does and he's trying to destroy the country. I think he should have an advisor that knows the Constitution and can stop him from violating it.

We can fight! We can protest as we did on April 15 and insist the government be returned to us. Our Constitution says our government is "of the people, by the people and for the people", not for the elite who want to run our lives. We need to take back our country and I think we have a good start. In one way, Obama is good for us because his actions are getting us off our butts and opening our eyes.

They stated that they wanted them covered so that they could have a "presidential background". Before that, they said they didn't want the symbols misrepresented by the presence of the president. They'll think of another reason soon, I'll bet.

I wasn't aware that he was a Muslim, he's been attending a Christian church for twenty years. But I wouldn't be surprised.

He "joined" that church because he knew he had less of a chance of getting to where he wanted to be if he was openly a muslim. The so-called "church" he has been a member of for so long preaches a racist message...not a Christian one, so it is easy for him to say to cover all references to Jesus, because he doesn't believe in Jesus...he is a muslim who is a "member" of a racist church...
