In Sacramento,Calif my home state the American peoples voices could be heard blocks away. Yesterday the American people republicans, democrats, liberals and conservative stood up for American leaving the white house it has been reported confused, did you have any confusion as to the message that was sent to the white house on April 15,2009? STORY WITH PICTURES @ LINK BELOW SACRAMENTO – Americans took to the streets to protest wasteful government spending today – with estimated crowd sizes of 5,000 to 15,000 in Atlanta, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Olympia, Wash., Lansing, Mich., and Sacramento. At the California Capitol, a sea of red, white and blue U.S. flags waved above a large crowd that surrounded the building and spilled into city streets. Visitors arrived in yellow school buses from surrounding cities. Sacramento tea party organizer Mark Meckler scanned the scene from behind a platform before the event. "It's unreal. It's beyond my imagination," Meckler told WND with a dazed look. "I can't imagine anything better than this." Some protesters shouted at the Capitol building with megaphones: "Hey, tell Gov. Schwarzenegger to come out here!" "We are leading a revolution, and this is the first day of that revolution," Meckler said. "Politicians will no longer be able to divide our nation. They are taking our money, and we aren't going to stand here and take it anymore." With booming enthusiasm, the crowd recited the Pledge of Allegiance and began wildly chanting, "USA, USA, USA!" Their voices could be heard from blocks away as the California legislature remained in session and lawmakers dared not venture outside. http://www.worldnetdaily.... | | | | | | | | | | Bills.Fanatics.com Shop Official Buffalo Bills Gear! | | I don't think Bush ever has a protest this big against him (not that he did not deserve it over the first round of bail outs and patriot act). Especially not in his first 100 days. But really this was more about congress than Obama. Congress hold the purse strings and they failed to act responsibly with them. Both sides. The press can play it as a anti Obama or Anti Democrat tea party. But reall it was a anti wasteful spending, anti big government, anti bail out and debt tea party. The honeymoon is over for Obama and congress. I hope they realize this. People are now mad enough to protest in large numbers. It takes a while to get them there, but once they do they will have little to no tolerance for further wasteful spending and taxes. COngressmen looking for re-election are going to be less likely to vote for a bill that has either in it anymore for fear of a back lash. | | | | | | | | | | Bills.Fanatics.com Shop Official Buffalo Bills Gear! | | I would say this is small compared to the amount of illegal aliens that marched for immigration reform. Those crowds took up whole city blocks. Also the groups that showed up for Obama were much larger. I would not go to one of these Tea Partiess because they were organized by a Republican group and Fox News... To be honest, I don't really support this kind of conservatism and think they are part of the problem. Still I know many of these people that went to the Tea Parties had their hearts in the right spot and I would never look down on them for doing it. | | | | | | | lilwonders456 (3526)

| | I think if the government is going to bail out big business, corporations and the like they should forgive all defaulted student loans because there are people who can't pay them not because they don't want to but because of illness, disability. They cannot find work or their feild got phased out with technology or new laws and so their degree is useless and they can't get help for another occupation. Many are elderly or working at minimum wage and don't get enough to pay for housing, food and utilities let alone loans. They ran out of foreberances and defferals and then suddenly in default the ed department farms it out to collectors who add a whopping 25% interest on to the loan they ALREADY could not pay which is usary and then the ed department wants them to pay double or triple what they owed destroying their credit even more. It is not fair to give bail outs to rich jerks at AIG and the auto industry or banks and CEOs and not help those who really are hurting. These rich guys could pay their debt the poor man is villified, robbed and can't even get a second hand car if need. Or credit for anything. | | | | | | | | | | The Buffalo Bills Store Merchandise, Apparel, & Gifts for Fans of the Buffalo Bills. www.FootballFanatics.com | add comment | | | |

| | I was sorry to miss the tea-party day in my state Illinois. I hope there will be further demonstrations this summer when I am home. I think a demonstration in every state capitol would get a lot of attention. Could be held on the day Obama was proclaimed candidate for President. | | | | | | | AnnaB7 (351)

| | I have heard there are demonstrations planned for around the fourth of July, so you may still have a chance to protest the excessive spending that has been going on by congress for a long time. | | | | | | | Primm Valley Casino Discount Primm hotel rooms.
