Today Was Funny!  |

 I had to work today. Just half the day. My office has convenient Care, the Urologist and my doctor working. I did my part for front desk.
When the work day was pretty much over, I scheduled myself an appointment to see my doctor last thing. My ankle is swollen still and I wanted her ideas. I'd seen the foot doctor already, but he's also a surgeon and wants to do surgery. I can't do that now.
The nurse was taking my vitals and checked my blood pressure. She pumped the machine up REAL HIGH. Then she let it down and tried again. Then she turned to me and asked if anyone has had problems getting a reading in that arm before. I said no.
For a minute I had a flashback to the zombie movie Night Of The Living Dead. The guys were turned into zombies and didn't know it and the paramedics were trying to get THEIR vitals. No luck on THEM either!
She finally DID get my blood pressure reading, but that flashback had me in stitches. Her too, once I told her what was so funny!

Lines from the movie Tombstone pop into my head all the time, and scenes from the movie The Shining...and for years I had to sleep with my feet covered because I was convinced rats were going to eat my toes after watching the movie "Food Of The Gods"
And then there's always the scene from every horror movie ever made that flashes across my mind whenever I walk into a dark room...lol And who hasn't thought of the shower scene from the movie Psycho when they're in the shower?

 Ramoth (1054) | 8 months ago | Especially when your husband is coming in to look at you in the shower....Pscho flashback! That's why I shower with the door open when no one is visiting. Our son's cat comes in and waits for me to get out. If my husband comes in my 'Booga alarm' goes off....meow, meow, meowowow. He can't sneak up on me now!

The grandkids get a real kick out of it.
