Do many of you like the taste of this vegetable. I can't say that i like. But i just find some sort of fun to munch on it. I feel like i am just playing my way to health. it does not taste terrible nor delicious. BUt just good enough for me to stick with and since i am trying to stick with diet plan. i have decided to cook or boil this instead of cooking it other way. This way it will retain its health benefits and also to get the most anti oxidants from it. I am hoping to discover some vegetables that is easy to cook and fun to eat as this one though not necessarily delicious. cause i don't find vegetables delicious not unless you add a lot of things to it. And the best thing with having to stick with vegetables, is i get this sense of accomplishment which i don't derive or get when i eat meat. cause i know that i am doing something good for my body. hopefully there is no harm in taking too much of this thing inside my body. cause i play to eat this every day. though it is really quite expensive to buy that vegetables here in my country. I don't know in your country. Cause here in the philippines, it is not grown locally here. i think it is exported only from cold countries. though i am not sure about it. SO i just want to share my happiness that i am going to have a healthy snack again. Cheers!

I have never tasted this veggi but heard about it from other guys who have tasted it. I don't think I would ever taste because in my place this is the most costly vegetable in my town. Something around Rs. 100 per bracolli. It is costly and if it would not taste good then I don't I will buy it?

how much would Rs100 be in US dollars. anyways, here it is about $1 per medium sized broccoli about one fourth kilo i think. that is quite expensive for me. i have stopped now buying cause i don't have the money yet. but when i do i will buy again and eat it every day.

Rs 100 is almost $2 in US dollar. Yes, it is expensive because we can get other vegitables of same size at Rs 20 only! So, it is very very costly.

yeah. it really looks funny. i don't like it at first. but it does not taste that bad. it has been a while i didn't eat broccoli. since it is quite expensive. but later i will cook broccoli again cause it is so healthy and to have more antioxidants. you should try to have it on your table when you can cause it is really good. i just steam it and just add some sesame oil on it just it is like my sauce so it will take good.

To be honest I do not like vegetables. Never like eating them since I was young. But for health sake I am learning to eat vegetables. We have broccoli locally here grown in the highlands where the climate is cold but it is not as good as those imported ones. Yes it is an expensive vegetable. I agree with you that eating eating vegies are good for dieting and should be encouraged especially those obese.

Hi hotsummer...I don't know if you'd like it but since you said you liked broccoli maybe you'd like this recipe. I make a broccoli salad by taking fresh broccoli and combining it with raw cashews and red onion finely chopped. You can mix up a dressing in no time by combining mayo, lemon juice and a little bit of sugar. I don't like broccoli cooked but I love this salad. Happy eating!

I really like broccoli. Especially steamed, and with lemon juice on it :D It's so good. I can eat it raw with some ranch dressing, too. That doesn't taste as good, but it's okay because I know it's got more nutrients in it. And you're right about feeling good after eating it. I know I'm eating something good for my body, so it makes me feel good :) I was actually just thinking about how I'm craving carrots and broccoli. It's weird that I came across this post now :D Now I'm craving it even more *sigh*. We don't have any problem buying it here in California (The U.S.). Happy snacking! Bring me back some when you're done :D

wow that is really good that you love broccoli like me. i have not tried any dressing yet. anyways, i have cooked it quite fast so it is not that cooked and quite bitter to taste. it still has some aftertaste in my tongue. but i guess i have to cook it well next time just i used to so that it will not be as bitter as it taste a while ago. anyways, it is good idea to put or sprinkle some lemon on it. i may do that too if i have the time to buy it on the groceries. i do think that broccoli steamed is much healthier or contains more healthy benefit than the boiled ones cause it does not leak the nutrients when steamed than in boiling i guess. but both are still best way to eat them than cooking them other ways. i bought a one piece of brocolli. a big one. big enough for me to eat for a day. i got a weird look from the person ahead of me on the cashier counter. cause i was holding a brocolli. and in the philippines people are not used to buy that kind of vegetable. and it may seem queer and weird to her that i am buying this stuff and nothing else. anyways, i don't mind cause that is what i am craving just like you. i am actually craving carrots now also. but i am planning to boil them too. i don't like to fry them or any thing that needs oil cause i wanted to have them without any oil and cook them as natural as possible without much any work done on it. i may do lots of boiling of vegetables soon. i am still thinking what other vegetables to boil together with brocolli. hope that you enjoy more of your brocolli.
