what's your neurosis? |

I know that each of us have our crazy or weird side. Like someone we know who has this unreasonable fear of germs. She never runs out of gallons of Lysol in her house which is spot-free and washed with Lysol everyday. Anyone who has been out never gets inside the house unless she had washed and cleaned her hands and feet with Lysol. Money that comes from outside must first undergo some form of cleansing. There was even a time when she would not anymore touch her dress for fear that it would contaminate her hands with germs. That's crazy, isn't it?Mine has something to do with plastic. I must have taken seriously that campaign that the use of disposable plastic can greatly damage our environment. I was sort of surprised to be told by a friend that I have this "thing" about plastic. Why? I don't want my goods or product to be wrapped with plastic. When it is bread for instance, I just want to hold it with my hand and eat it directly, no plastic. When it's dog food, I just hold or carry the bag without plastic. I just hate plastic. My mom has a thing with anything steel, like steel doors, etc. She'd think that touching anything that is made of steel like steel handles or doors would electrocute her. This started when she noticed that some people complain that they get sort of get "electrified" when they touch her. She also noticed that she too sometimes get that feeling when she accidentally touches others. She also feels that at times when she touches door handles in steel some electric power would run through her hand and this has made her use something like paper or a piece of cloth whenever she would switch on the aircon in her office, or avoid holding steel doors. Another friend of mine has an issue with bathing. Once she gets inside the bathroom, she has the tendency to not come out of it. It would take the whole day for her to bathe and do her personal stuff. This has often led to fights in her house as no one else is able to use the bath once she is inside. How about you? What's your neurosis?

2. twoey68 (9610) | 8 months ago | Where to start?? I don't know if you'd call them neurosis or not but with me things have to be a certain way. My water bottles have to be in a certain order in the fridge, cans go in a certain cupboard and boxes go in another. I have to have a specific stuffie when I sleep and the cat has to be in there sleeping on my legs. I have to do things a certain way or my whole day is thrown off. I don't think alot about it anymore b/c it's mostly habit now. Even getting dressed has to be done in a specific order.

| 3. wolfen13 (27) | 8 months ago | Carrying large bills. Suprisingly my mom showed this to me tonight. we went to the store for cat food and I used the largest bill I had to pay. I explained that I can't stand having large bills in my wallet. When I thought about it, i got to thinking that I always do that. For instance is something costs three dollars and I have three ones, I'll use a five, or the largest bill that I have. I'm not sure why I do this, but its just one of those things. I'd rather have ones only in my wallet.
