Wordpress Plugins  | |  I have only just started up a New blog on the Wordpress platform, previously I had used Googles Blogger.
Do any other users who use Wordpress for their blog recommend which plugins are the best or you feel are worthwhile, as the list is very long and it would be nice to see what fellow bloggers recommend.

 jason1308 (1021) | 7 months ago | Thanks for your response, I also have some blogs on the blogger platform by google, but also wanted one with my own domain name, and that came with Wordpress as a free easy install so for my new main blog use that.
The only problem is that there are so many add ons, I have a few added but wanted to know if there are any I am missing which i should have installed.

| | 2.  re08dz (1099) | 7 months ago |  LOL there's a heap of good and really useful plugins to be found for wordpress blogs I'm not sure where to start - a lot may depend on what you want to do with your blog - top of my head though here's a few really handy ones:
Goolge Sitemap - creates a sitemap of your blog and submits it to google (and other search engines) There's another really good sitemap plugin, but I can't think of the name at the moment,that works alongside google but makes a sitemap page for your readers.
Contextual related posts - adds a list and link to 5 related posts at the bottom of each entry
All In One SEO - allows you to add the things search engines love to each page (keywords, description, title etc)
Akismet is a must
Then there's those that make it real easy to add income to your site, and those that make it easy to add more content and submit it to social sites etc. If you're interested take a look at my profile there's a link there to my affiliate blog which has a couple of posts about getting more out of your blog etc
