"Pretty pissed" seems like an understatement. Yeah, it must have been quite personal. All the details, like being rolled into a carpet and tucking it in so neatly sounds like the murderer was really motivated. This is an incredible act for the books.

whoever it was either wasnt smart enough to totally get rid of the body (chop up, burn,etc) OR the were too close to the victim to do something like that
its one thing to be pissed enough to kill them but its something totally different to hack them up or burn the body
the way the carefully wrapped the body and neatly tucked the ends of the rug shows they at least had some respect

You saying that about laughter, reminds me of the Daily Mail's report on the body that was found in bits, scattered across 3 counties in the UK. They found everything except the hands - which were necessary to do a positive ID.

A police spokesman said, (and I do NOT make this up): "We've done all we can, including a fingertip search ..."

Now THAT I'd HAVE to laugh at! I just got a mental image of these guys down on all fours, gingerly touching everything with their fingertips. Aren't we bad?

You know, mental, truth is that it's amazing the number of stories we hear about head wounds and survival, so sadly enough, the victim didn't necessarily die quickly. On the other hand, it seems much more "natural" to stab someone, I mean the physical act, than to hammer someone with a tool like a nail gun. They are NOT the handiest thing going! This is an amazing crime.

It makes Quentin Tarantino look like a Disney film!

Originality would be to stab a person to death with an icesickle. "No murder weapon was found, but a puddle of water was located just underneath the wound." Of course, this would have to take place in the dead of winter.

I could have also been an insanely jealous wife, husband of someone this guy was cheating with, or a jealous lover. Maybe this guy cheated on his wife just one too many times and she just lost it!

Hi Mechanic, I cannot imagine anyone doing this. That person must have hated the victim very much. Or else he or she is possessed by the devil.
I do not even have the courage to kill a chicken, much less to use nail gun to kill people. Hopefully the police can catch the murderer, even if the police does not, let God punishes the person.

Well, I suppose a person would have to wait and see how he/she would react at a given time. I don't spend any time thinking of things like these and I saw enough action, blood and guts when I was in the military. This murder really impresses me.

I think I know how you feel. I was astonished when I read it and saw the xray. You'd think the anger would diminish, but then maybe the victim kept living through this ferocious attack and the other got even angrier.

I don't even want to think of what I would do if someone hurt one of my children, but even so, this seems far fetched.

It's true that humans can come up with extreme ways to torture, like the drug traffickers in Scarface, that hung the one guy and cut him to pieces with a chain saw. It's the kind of thing that really requires a strong stomach and a dead brain.
