Another sad day  |

|  Its a sad day for fans of the Golden Girls with the news of Bea Arthur passing away at the age of 86. It seems like not that long ago Estell getty passed away in her 80's. I always enjoyed that show and would joke with some of my friends that when we got in or 60s and 70s that woudl be us however I lost touch with one of the friends and the other lost their life in their 30s from Desert Storm. So its Rose and Blanche and I am sure their heart are in pain. Dorthy was porbably my favorite? Did you have a favorite Golden Girl?

| |  That news killed me when I saw it on Dlisted. I watch golden girls when I'm up late night doing nothing (kinda like now). Dorothy was SO my favorite. That news bummed me out to the maximum.

| |  her name is rue mcclanahan but i'm not sure of the spelling. i too wonder how they are taking the news. probably not too bothered with it as none of them even showed up at estelle getty's funeral so i cant really see them being any different with bea arthur.

| |  I have never watched Golden Girls. It is always sad when an actor we feel we know dies, especially one we have watched since childhood. Good news is that 86 is a decent age.

| |  That is sad, and what makes it even sadder is when I saw this discussion I made the comment that Bea Arthur had died and my daughter asked who is that. The younger generation don't know what they were missing.
