Okay Ladies time to Confess.....

I'm like you. I never could figure out why some women buy so many shoes, sometimes even one pair for each outfit. I think it's a waste of money and a waste of closet space. I have an old pair of tennis shoes and a newer pair, a pair of hiking boots, rubber boots, flat sandals, and a pair of canvas shoes that look nice with slacks. I don't wear dresses so I don't have dress shoes.

In the days when I was working, I really liked shoes and I possess quite a lot of very high heeled ones. These are all locked away in a trunk and will most likely never be worn again. If I have to attend a wedding I will need to bring a pair of them out.

I am now down to just four different types. My Wellington Boots are the most used because I am in and out of the paddocks and garden during the day. I have a most comfortable pair of running shoes which I wear to town for shopping and the library and general running around.

The third pair is a nice looking and respectable pair of shoes with lowish heels which I keep especially to go to the doc or any other appointments, and finally I have a pair of navy blue Crocs for use indoors in lieu of slippers. All right...I know the Crocs ain't pretty but they are the most comfortable things I have ever worn and I'm sure they are far better for the feet than soft slippers.

Barefooted? Never! Too afraid of stepping on something horrible like an old bone which the dogs occasionally bring in.
