Maintaining a diary.  

I keep a diary of my work appointments for when I am seeing clients etc etc without my diary I'd be lost.

Altho have just started a journal so when I am dead and buried there will be something for my kids to remember me by in years to come.

I don't keep a diary at the moment but I am thinking that I may have to. I have become very disorganised and have missed several appointments recently. I don't think the old style paper diary would suit me that much. I am probably going to start using the diary function in my mobile phone more.

Hey there! I keep a journal of my day-to-day activities and the expenses I had during that day. I think it's a good way to track where my money goes and at the same time, keep a memento that I can look back on some day.

I used too. But I keep hearing my mothers words.
"Don't write things down, because you might regret it some day."
She believes that writing this down can cause you problems later in life if someone else reads it. The past following you so to speak.
Personally I have 5 or 6 diary's . I wrote them around 20 years ago. I am very couscous of them. My children are not to see them yet. Maybe Mom is right? But I cannot seem to part from them.

On the other hand, I write songs and write articles. And when I do things like that, I always feel better, it is my way of dealing with my problems. I think it is a good thing.

No, I don't. I probably should since I'm getting up in years and my sons might enjoy it after I'm gone, but I'm too lazy to do it. Maybe I'll start writing in one every week or so, that would be better than nothing.

Well it's a good way to restore our memory and we benefit from it to our writing skill as my teacher ever suggested, but how many people can take a long regular time to do this when they get a mess of things to be completed as I do? So I give up years ago but last year I begin to write blog not daily but openly, there is a sense of self-fulfillment raising up when visitors add positive comments on.

I used to keep a diary then I stopped. I considered starting another one but went back and read my old one first. I realised that the only things I was writing down in my diary were bad moments in my life. I never wrote about the exciting things (except when I was really little). I don't want people to find those and read them and think my life was only something I complained about. It also wasn't something I found interesting to read years later. I figure if I remember them in my mind that is good enough for me.

No, I don't maintain a diary for any kind of reason. I am a little lazy person, who don't like writting diary. Yes, I started doing it in late 90s but got bored very easily and thus left that.

But I do believe that writting diary is a good thing and I think I should start a blog for the same reason!
