which Filipino-owned manufacturing company do you know? anything you know please contribute here. can be industrial, electronics, etc.

I have read of Lopez groups as one electronics manufacturng cos. other than that I know that Ayala owned some also.

But other than that do you know any? It must be 100% Filipino owned and run by Filipino.

The most famous Filipino manufacturer/industrialist, of course, are the Concepcions (NAMFREL Chairman Joe Concepcion and his son Joey Concepcion). They run RFM Corporation: makers of Swift's meat products, Selecta ice cream and dairy products, White King baking products, Sunkist juice, and for awhile they competed against Coca-Cola with their Sarsi/Pop Cola range of pop sodas. If I remember it correctly JoeCon started his company by selling aircons (I forgot the brand, but they still sell it today I think). cool

You mentioned the Lopezes and the Ayalas. The former is really into media, while the latter is really into real-estate development. The Concepcions are really the ones who can be called manufacturers/industrialists. Another one in the same mold as the Concepcions is of course Lucio Tan who owns Tanduay, Asia Brewery, Fortune Tobacco and if I'm not mistaken he even owns Allied Bank. cool

Never heard of it, but of course I know their products. Lopez had manufacturing companies in FPIP batangas, and in other province, and Ayala one or more electronics mfg company in laguna if I'm not mistaken one is Integrated Microelectronics, Inc/IMI, but yes you're right they are known for the other industries that they are more successful.

"Never heard of it" lol. Even highschool kids know the Concepcions. Off topic, why would you call the Philippines "Pines" when its formal abbreviation is "Phils.". For a moment there I thought you were talking about the City of Pines (Baguio).

Yeah honestly never heard of him. Now i know. And I just called it pines, because when we were abroad we refer to the Philippines are "Pinas", like and "pines" when we are talking to each other but this one is not very common. it's mylot so I guess it's acceptable.
