| Online banking : Is it worth it? | | | | I've heard alot lately about online banking for savings account and certificates of deposit. Has anyone tried online banking in this capacity? Are the rates really that stellar? I've only looked around a little bit and from what I seen you need a larger sum of money, a thousand to twentyfive hundred, to earn the best rates. If you just want to open a savings account or certifcate of deposit with a hundred dollars you really aren't doing much better. (At least not better then the two percent at my local bank for one year certificates of deposits.) If you do have a great rate online, can you recommend a bank site? Thank you very much. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | I do all my banking online as its easier and convenient. It really does depend on which bank your after. Nowadays almost every bank I know has online facilities and all have different savings accounts benefits. Shop around and see which one meets your needs. Try using moneysupermarket.com They compare all the products that banks offer. Or you can try comparethemarket.com.. basically search on google, msn, yahoo for bank comparison sites... Hope this helps.. happy my lotting | | | | | | | | Geminibreeze (90)
