Voting for the first time:a wonderful experience.

It's been so long ago, I don't remember the circumstances of my first vote. But I do remember being optimistic and thinking I was making a difference. In my country, I don't think voting makes a difference--it's just a vehicle to make people think they have a voice when they don't. I'm convinced that our elections are carefully planned and the outcomes a set deal before votes are even made. I only vote now to honor the memories of those who fought and died for my right to do so, I have no illusions that my vote means anything.

I am not going to ask you which party you voted for because it is your decision to keep it secret. I am going to caste my vote for the first time today, if my name is in electors list! I hope they have my name and I can caste my vote.
