I think Google is the best search engine. I always get good results if i use Google to search. It all depends on what you are searching and how you are searching.Try to use different words.
Ex: If you are searching for " blue ink pens" you will get different results for
different words. If you use Ink pens you will get some results and if use blue pens you will get different results.

Well me either. I sometimes need to change my queries to really find what I'm searching. Maybe I'm just no good in surfing. I've using "" this on my search sometimes to get the exact phrase or word but still I have to look on other pages too.

For me, I had used both google and yahoo! search engines very often. In most cases, the most relevant results which I'm looking for is on the first page. However, I do sometimes encountered what you had encountered too. I will have to go to the 2nd or 3rd pages to check if there are better "answers" to what I'm looking for, or to supplement the "incomplete answers" I got from the first page.

Sometimes, I also change some of the words, hoping to get a better result from the last search. Sometimes, this helps me to get a more complete answer too.

In comclusion, I'm still fine with the results presented by Google.
