If you have good command of English and perfect grammar, you can sell your articles in Constant-Content. A 400 words article can sell for $100 when you are willing to give up full rights to it. You quote your selling price and Constant-Content takes a commission of 33%. That is the best site for making good money from selling article.
If your grammar is not perfect, you can still sell the articles in dailyarticle.com and topicwrite.com
You can price your articles and both sites currently charge a commission of 20%. Most articles in both sites are selling between $20 to $30. Some writers charge as low as $5 for shorter articles less than 300 words.

Heya scheng... friend request coming. You know you could always ask me to help with those grammar things. If I can (and it's not urgent, cos I have to find time), I will. You know that.

Hi, I hope you have better luck with Constant-Content. My grammar is less than perfect. And my articles are rejected for grammar errors that even the grammar checker cannot catch.
I sell my articles mainly through dailyarticle and topicwrite. And self-published ebooks at lulu.com

There are a lot of sites who buy. The best known are the article directories, like Associated Content, Helium, Bukisa, HubPages and so on - they don't pay much and mostly just give residual income at a dollar or two per thousand hits. Helium does have a Marketplace that can be quite profitable, though.
Constant-Content (as already mentioned) is the biggest 'article supermarket' I've seen. It's a nice secondary store: anything you retain usage rights on, you can throw onto CC and resell for ever. Or you can write specifically for that market and sell unique or full rights.
There's also a lot of article work on the freelance sites like getafreelancer.com, guru.com (ugh, hate that one), odesk.com and elance.com - though it's often badly paid. Most buyers target newcomers or the Indian market and want 500 words for $1. There are some good buyers around, though, who will pay for quality - I've sold articles up to $40 a shot (unique rights) and around the $15 mark for usage rights (in other words, they can reprint, but it's still mine to publish elsewhere).
I also have two paid blogging jobs at the moment from the freelance sites. They pay badly, but it's easy, regular work and the wages tend to rise over time. A nice, regular income of over $100 a month for those two.
If I'm unclear on anything there or you'd like more info, just shout. None of it's secret: I believe in sharing whatever methods work with anyone who wants to know!!

the payment by the websites for writing articles is not very much but yes, when we get a reward for wrting it encourages us to write more. well, i was paid by a web site for some time on monthly basis and according to points earned but now they have stopped paying.there are some other web sites too that offer payment for writing. eevn this perticular site pays for your contribution.

Thanks for your reply. I also heard about article writing sites. Just not sure if they pay well or if it is worth the time spend writing or the ideas we give out.
