Anyone who has seen this, what do you think the title, 7 Pounds refers to?
I'm thinking Shakespearean reference, you know, Shylock's pound of flesh?
I think Will Smith was amazing in this movie.

James72 (6960) | 7 months ago |  Yes, the movie title is definitely derived from the Merchant of Venice and alludes to a debt that has to be repaid, regardless of the consequences. I loved this movie and Will Smith was indeed excellent. The way he chose to end his life was totally unique that's for sure! Who would've thought that a TV actor from an arguably tacky show like "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" could become what he is today!

Oh, I'm sooo happy someone finally saw this one! I really wanted to know if I was on the right track with the Shylock reference.
So many movies follow predictable formulae, but this one, well, I kind of guessed the ending, when he set up the aquarium, but I kind of hoped I was wrong, and if I wasn't that he would reconsider.
Will Smith, now there's a chameleon. What an excellent job. | |
