How Awesome Must a Man Be in order to Hook-Up with Kelly Clarkson?  | |  I was going to ask about the new 'glass ceiling' - not the old one that kept women below men's income-level, but the new one that seems to keep celebrities away from non-celebrities.
So why don't single chart-toppers grace any of us losers with their warm-friendly fellowship?

And I agree with you in a way, it IS sad that you don't see too many celebrities dating "regular" every-day people, but I suppose it's probably just because dating a non-celebrity is hard work and vice versa - I would imagine that the non-celebrity would have to be EXTREMELY understanding and tolerant of the celebrity's situation. I know that if I was dating a celebrity, the paparazzi, tabloids, the unwanted attention, and long gaps between when I saw them (because of business trips, appearances, promos, and so on) would probably drive me off the wall and would wreck the relationship.

I think of Jenna Jameson's recent interview with William Shatner ... (for those who don't know, William Shatner was 'Capt. James T. Kirk' on the original "STAR TREK" and now hosts an interview-show named "William Shatner's Raw Nerve," & Jenna Jameson's is an author and legendary 'adult film'-actress) how her boyfriends & now-husband had to be cool with ... what she and her co-stars did on screen.
I guess you have to see the entertainment world through a sort of 'veil' from the average-public world---that's one of the 'plus'es of using "stage-names" ... that way--when the phone rings and it's a producer asking for 'MythMan Jay'--I can truthfully say, 'He's not here right now; but as soon as he gets back, I'll tell him you've got another bazillion-dollar deal waiting for his platinum voice!' | |
