Improving my SE C902 camera

I have been using my Sony Ericsson Cybershot C902 for a while now. I am totally happy with the quality of the shots during day time especially on the outdoors. I noticed that the camera mode of the C902 has no night mode and shots made in low lighting conditions usually produce a very bad result. I am a bit disappointed with the low lighting shots and the macro shots. Is there any way that I can improve the quality of my shots particularly in low lighting condition and macro shots. In macro mode I can't hardly tell the difference between a macro shot and an ordinary shot. I was hoping that it would produce a depth of field but didn't make any difference. I am fond of taking macro shots so any tips in achieving bokeh effect would be very much appreciated.
