would you question why God given to you this kind of life?

It's not about you, or me, or anyone else. The lives we live are given us for God's purpose. He made all of us the same yet entirely unique. Our job is to be thankful for what He has given us and to make the most out of it so that we can bring Him back all the glory, honor and praise. Rich or poor alike, we are all the same: we need God to put meaning into our lives. Without Christ in our lives, we are nothing.

We always have a choice. God has always given us a choice. It is just that we wallow in so much self pity that we cannot see the choices in front of us. At times we just dont want to see. God always brings us to a crossroad. It is we who chooses one of them and make our life. So then why question God for choices one has made. For some people circumstances make them take some decisions but then it is still their choice. Maybe in distress but still their choice. We have a choice always. So why blame god.

Well, I guess so, If I ever meet him and tell me I could ask any question.

We can question God as to why things are like they are. Often I have questioned him about my father dieing when I was so young. I know that my life would not be what it is today had he not passed away. For one Joe would have never been my step father and he brought so much to my life, I would not have Kristel, my half sister whom I adore. So much would be different.

So while God does close some doors in our lives there is always another one open, the thing is you have to be willing to walk through that door, to see it and take advantage of what God has offered up to you. Often we look every where for that door when it is right in front of us.

Bad things happen to everyone, not everyone is going to be rich, and often that money comes with a price that well I am just not willing to pay. (I was in fact paid a good bit of money as a result of my fathers death, by the man that caused it, I would give it all back, every dime)

money does not bring happiness.

I went home to visit my cousins while I was living in Chicago, I in fact flew home from a two week long trade show I had to attend the first week was in Vegas, the second week was in New York. My Cousin and I went out to lunch. She smiled at me and told me how much she envied me. I told her not to that she was living the life I wanted. You see she was a mom of five adorable children, I had accepted that I would never have children due to infertility, she lives in a small country town in a mobile home, I lived in downtown Chicago in a high rise on the lake. Her life is simple, she does not have to worry about traffic, city wide power outages and if what she has on is in style this year ( I was a retail buyer, I had to present myself in a fashionable way) I envied her life and she envied mine.

Also consider sometimes we get what we think we want only to find out that it is not all we thought it was.

Who knows what GOD think... But GOD surely don't want to give a bad life to us. Everything that was happen to us nor it's good or bad it has to be there was some meaning to us whose experience it... For examples, if you already had a good or perfect life, will you share your happiness to other people and remember that GOD who's give you that?.. And if you had a bad life that you don't want to accept it, will you face it and still be strong by praying to GOD to give a better life?.. To reach the happiness i think is not easy because mistaken are always haunted the human beings... I often asking that questions to my self before mymaria... The answers is, it all starts from our parents mistaken. Maybe they where forgot to be still close to GOD when they where in the golden age since they where married. But we should not always blame them for what happen to us... What we do it's just take the lesson from the older experience and never do the same mistaken like the older do...

You and i had a same experience of life mymaria. And this is essense of life... Face it, Learn it, and Pray for it... GOD BLESS YOU mymaria.

No. Not now, not ever. I am content with what God has given me and I appreciate that he made me as unique as I am. Nobody else in the world has the same knowledge and experience as I have.

it's good that you have aired your feelings out. you don't have to worry about things that happened to you. there are lots of factors that had been the cause of life's consequences. in your case, it's not your fault and not GOD's either. everyone of us are given the privilege to do whatever we want to do. you're mother became the collateral damage of your father's deeds. you didn't mention the casue of death of your mom. is she murdered or died because of the complications of stress suffered from your mother. all of us are liable of all the things each individual did. as long as you're just doing the right things, there's no need for you to worry. no need to blame GOD either. no need to self pity also. in GOD's due time you will be rewarded of all the good things that you've done.God is not deaf nor blind. he knows everything. HE won't give you problems that you cannot overcome. soon you will be the strongest person ever.keep holding on my friend.

we do have choices to make, so as the rest of the people around us. our choices and the results of other people's choices could directly or indirectly affect the kind of life we live. but often times, it's the choices that our parents/family made and also the choices we made along the way are the biggest factor on the kind of lives we live right now. and our future also depends on the choices we make from now on.

We cannot question God about the kind of life we have now coz most of it is the result of our choices. if we are closer to God then we would be able to make wiser choices and be able to live the kind of life that is full of blessings (not necessarily material blessing), full of joy and contentment.

Hmmm....all my life, I do question God, why had he given me a life like this. I'm not that close to my parents, I was really suicidal back then because of the life I lived. People tend to see me as the only black sheep in the family. Like for them I am the one who are always the one to blame. Other people tend to think that way too about me. And I always end up asking God, why am I like this, why can't be him or her? Who are so happy with his or her life, while here I am living so painfully as long as I can remember. I try to reflect. I cry, but then this is my life, maybe I have a purpose, whatever it is. I just don't know. All I know is I'm not doing anything that would hurt other people. Even if most people hurt me.

the only thing I can't personally understand is how come my life was and is fine when most other people's aren't, sure there may have been some bad times but if there's one thing I can't complain about is the quality in which I live in, good stuff happen to me all the time and I don't even know why I deserve them, I pray others are ok too and for good things to happen to everyone but God has his own plans and no one can understand His master plan, however remember that God won't ever give you something you can't handle, if you think you can't you're under the illusion of self-doubt and if things turn really depressing and all you can always find comfort with God, just attend the church or something and God will help you find the way.
