Mother's Day Help...

Can you get her one of those digital picture frames and load it with family pictures that she would like? The larger ones are expensive but I've seen some smaller ones on key chains that are pretty cute and don't cost too much. This is something she might not want to give away and will appreciate every time she looks at it.

Someone on mylot had a great idea. I can't remember exactly what they said, but basically, they suggested creating a memory card/book of your mom's history. You could start with who brought her into the world, where she went to school, who she fell in love with, when she got married, the children and the grandchildren she has/had. Incorporate pictures with the the timeframes of her life. I thought is was a very cool idea! Maybe your mom would appreciate that and your kids may enjoy learning more about their grandma.

How about a nice family portrait of your kids or your whole family (ie your kids + you + your spouse)??? Though it's a lil late but if you know a pretty spot and can take someone with you to photograph you all you could probably print out a picture & put it in a nice frame in the same day.

That would be my idea if the gift card thing doesn't fly with her.
I know how much fun it is trying to find something as my mom is similar except I know what she likes right now what she likes is.... FOOD, a nice meal makes her happy every time. Perhaps that's an idea, cook her a nice meal? or have the kids make her a craft of sorts?

This sounds like a tough one! The only thing I can really think of would either be a photo of your family, inviting her over for a nice meal, going over there and just spending the day doing what she wants to do even if it's nothing, or picking her up and taking her to a spa for a day of pampering that way she can't get out of it!

Just say I love You to your mom and hug her i think she will be happy with that. Maybe you and your family can spend time with her on Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to your mom, to your wife and also to me:)

I think you better buy flower for her.

Although as you said she doesn't like flower, but maybe you don't need what she thinks inside her mind.

I suppose in her life she might not get flower as gift a lot, or maybe never.

she would be moved if she got one.

I saw my mother was excited when she got it from my boyfriend once. Although she said it's waste of money.

Another idea is to try to do some housework for her. it will also make her happy and satisfied.

maybe she need nothing except a warmly wish and deeply kiss,i mean,the material gifts are not always the best choice,especially your mom seems not like these kinds of goods,so if you really don`t have a idea,you should think of another meaningful gifts,just like flowers,or others.

My idea is books, journals, scrapbooks, cross word puzzles, candles.

You can always go to the dollar store and get her a basket full of stuff - all of the above and more ... dish towels, pot holders, candy, decorations, gum and so on.
