Do you think that in any circumstances you can kill somebody?

I believe that we all have the capability to kill a person. The situations that would cause people to kill will be different for everyone.

Ask any parent and I think that if their child was in danger they would kill anyone to save them

I would argue that it's very unlikely, except in the most extreme cases. I'm a fan of this anime called "Trigun". The main character is a man named Vash, and he has this thing where he absolutely refuses to kill anyone, for any reason. The only reason he uses his guns is to make it so that they can't do any harm. (For example, shooting someone's arm so that they can't shoot back.) In this way, he fights, but he doesn't kill.

If forced to, yes, I believe that any one of us can without a doubt kill someone in order to protect ourselves or someone we care about. Where I live you're allowed to shoot someone if you believe that you are in danger and I do have a license to carry a firearm but that doesn't necessarily mean that I would shoot to kill. You can pretty much stop someone by displaying your weapon, holding them there until the police arrive and if that doesn't work, there are several areas of the body that can be shot and not be fatal.

I do not think that i could kill some one, but i do not know how i would react if someone cam into my house, and tried to harm me or one of my children. I have never been in that kind of situation but i know that i would do what ever it took to protect us from danger.

Well there are really times that I really want to kill a person. Especially rude and impatient person that think they're superior on everyone else and people that doesn't respect my girlfriend. I always have that feeling of killing if I am very angry at someone. Well luckily I have killed no one yet. But I think sometimes that killing those st*pid person is like destroying your life too. So I will waste my life to those useless people.

in an extreme case i think i would want to kill a person if they were going to harm me or a member of my family, i would want to do it to protect my family or out of self defence.
if someone sexually assaulted or raped a member of my family i would also want to kill that person.
having said that i'm not sure if i could actually go through with it, emotions run high at times and we all have to make on the spot decisions.

I can't really kill anyone. I don't even kill the mosquito that bites me.
But the case you mentioned, seems to lure us to take some really violence action that is difficult to imagine for me. I don't know, I think I will do two things. I would try to hit the enemy in such place that would hurt him, but not kill. As far as possible, take some defending actions just enough to save ourselves. The second thing I do is shout for the help.
In case of man, you know the position lol...

If I absolutely had to yes, especially to protect my children.

We are all humans whether we are nice, bad or very bad, we have to accept that. I believe we have to defend our family from strangers and if the other party gets killed in this instance, its an incident...

I think, the sentance is nt right, it contain the vague conception. when we reply this question, we should get clear who are you asking for. If the question asked in a general condition, it should add a premise. such as: without thinking, have ability(physical) to do it, or something else.

Generally, not everyone have the physical ability to kill others especially others have the talent or martial art or other kinds of striking skills. maybe in some confition, you can, but not in evry condition.

So, I am doubtful for the question been asked.
