What is a Real Man?

A real man is not ashamed to show his feelings, will even cry in front of people.
A real man takes time for his family and puts them first in his life
A real man stands by his wife, girlfriend, boyfriend and supports them no matter what
A real man does what is right even when it is the hard thing to do
A real man cares for those around him
A real man does need things to define him
A real man is willing to go the extra mile for those he loves
A real man does not care what others thinks, he does what he feels is right
A real man does not hit women
A real man does not verbally abuse women
A real man does not have a need to fight
A real man does not have a need to be rude or inconsiderate to others
A real man does not need a woman on his arm to define him
A real man is willing to take risk

I think a real man is a man who loves his family, is loyal, faithful, sticks up for his beliefs, strong but sensitive and honest. A guy could be the hottest one in the world, but won't get my attention unless he has these qualities.

A real man doesn't have to be sexy and usually isn't. In my view a real man is a man that takes care of his responsiblities (like kids and family), is open about things (not a lot of secrets), worries about stuff (bills, health, etc.) and is honest. This may not define the tough guy, the strongest, the weak, the shy, the nerd or geek, but it does define the perfect. And most women want the perfect. The outside shouldn't matter it is what someone does that makes them a real man.

A real man?
To me a real man is a man that can be trusted to do what is right.
He is responsible and caring.
He is loving and honest.
Is independent, does not look up to other men, is self assured.(In a positive way)
Has his own ideas and way of thinking.
He does everything he can to give his best to his family.

I think a real man should always contain lovers' mistakes or shortage. A real man can protect and care women.A real man know how to deal with matters properly.A real man like reading and learning new knowledges.

every people hv their own characteristic,so I think tat to be who u r is de best difinition for 'real man'.

in my opinion,real man is not handsome by looking or have much money.it is hard to definite cause eveyone has their standard to see real man.in my eyes.real man is loving care and responsiable and not sel-fish and good heart.all good things and not bad things to real man.they should always have good comment by others.that is my opinion.but i know it is hard to find such perfect man in the world cause we are human not always perfect.

I am a chinese girl.In my opinion,a real man should be a gentleman. He must be kind,brave and generous. And he must have his own thought. and he should be smart and wise.

A real man. Hmmm. As you said a wrong figure has been projected into the minds of people about how a real man should be. And unfortunately many a people get down to decide you based on that. I really agree with what 'meandmy3' said in his/her first post. There are many a characters that a person needs to exhibits to be a real man. He should be able to take responsibility and be accountable for what he is doing.
