Step Mothers, and mother in laws- Happy Mothers day to you as well.

Tomorrow we celebrate our moms, with the changes in society many of us have step parents as well as parents, or many of us are step parents as well as being parents. Often tomorrow is about celebrating our moms and we tend to forget the other mom in our lives, weather it be a mother in law or step mother. We have much to be thankful for in them. Especially the step mom. I am not a step mother, I have never had one. I did however have a step father and I know what an effort he made to be a part of our lives and how much he did for us.
You deserve to be recognized tomorrow as well for all that you do, for all the crap you take from the ex wife as well as the children. You came into this family knowing the challenges you faced, you have endured the ugly looks and the snide remarks behind your back. you invite the ex to be included in family events and you deal with the history your husband has with the ex. You go to special events and stand aside as dad and mom get all the glory. You wipe noses, and wipe buts, you do your best to be their for the children without over stepping, after all the last thing you want to do is make the child or mom feel as if you want to take over her role. You deserve to have a day as well. Your job is just as hard as mine.
Thank you for doing all you do and for doing it by choice because after all you could have ran as soon as you knew he had children.
