I cant explain coz I am stuck at 9 since I dont remember when! I have seen many people with less posts reach and maintain 10 but with so many responses I have not been able to reach 10...so I have kind of given up on this. Some say there are many factors like discussions getting deleted, someone giving a negative mark just coz they did not like what you have said...personally I feel its best to write what I want to, after all that's what this community is all about.

It is a rating that you are given by other users in mylot. If you get a negative rating then it will go down. If you get a positive rating, then it goes up. I really don't worry about it as mine fluctuates up and down like a yoyo lol. To me the rating isn't the most important thing in here. You aren't going to please everyone anyway, and some will give you a negative rating no matter what kind of posts you do. I got one from last night, but it doesn't bother me, as I am doing my best, but it doesn't seem to be good enough for some in here. I am here to make friends and earn a little extra spending money, and if I never get a good rating, then I know I havd done my best. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

more than likely u said something someone didn't like & they gave you a negative rating.

I've noticed myself dropping a little in the past when I've been inactive for a period of time, but as far as I'm aware, the ONLY way your star will go up or down is when someone plus or negative rates you. All I can assume is that someone's taken issue with something and marked you negatively. Such are the trials and tribulations of a site that has a rating system like this. I've known you long enough to know that you're not someone who upsets anyone, so don't be concerned as I'm sure your star will be back up again really quickly. Some members here are just fickle at best and there's no point trying to work out who, why or where!

Don't worry about stars, it will come and go. You also aware that the star rating is depend on the rating by other members. If somebody gives you a negative mark then your star rating comes down. I got a 10 star and after two weeks I lost the same, again I got it then within one week I lost it. Now I am not at all bothering about the star rating, if it is on other's hand what can we do, nothing. If other people don't like our response they may give a negative rating. But I am not giving a negative rating to anybody, that only I can do.

So be happy and forget about the star rating. (I understand it will be disturbing when watching the down of rating)

I will not let it bother you too much veejay19. For me I have been in 8 star status for I am not sure how long. I use to let that bother me but now I look at mylot this way. I am here to learn and earn and share my thoughts. This site allows me to help others as well as myself and to me that is priceless and more worth my time than allowing the star number to bother me.
