If you run a website or blog, how much do you make from it?

I've put Adsense on my Blogger blog just last month, and I think I only have above $1 from it. My friends have advised me to join pay for post sites like PayPerPost where you can register your blog and they'll give you stuff to write about then they pay you for it. But for now, since my blog is fairly new (2 months old), I just try to write as often as I could, probably 2-3 times a week. Also my blog has an overall topic or theme, which I decided to do so I can have a targeted audience and also targeted ads from Adsense.

that depends on how popular your blog is. If its popular enough, then a good amount can be earned from adsense, affiliate program, etc. Otherwise, nothing will happen. Need a blog that has very good amount natural traffic. Thanks

That's actually a lot tougher to answer than you might think:-). I have several blogs and websites and while they all earn me money some earn more than others. Often it might depend on the topic of a latest post/theme of the site or the time of year etc. Then they all have different income streams.

I can't really give you a set amount as it varies so much, I have different cpc programs on most of them (adsense, adbrite etc) that all earn some money each day. My ebay sites make anywhere from a couple of bucks a day up to occasionally 100 or more (if you ever have any spare cash I highly recommend joining the program in my profile under ebay) Other sites may have a couple of clickbank sales each week which is on average around $25 per sale. Then throw in the odd amazon sale plus other affiliate stuff that again varies from day to day and month to month:-)

As for suggestions to help others succeed...

Well the bottom line is that you need to be prepared to put in some time and effort. It's taken me awhile to get to the point where I earn daily but now that I do each day it continues to grow. You also need to put in the time on the behind the scenes stuff - the initial set up: finding the right niche, getting the right keywords, making sure the search engines find you etc etc etc. But once that is done you can move onto your next one. Many of my blogs now I vary rarely need to touch.

My blogs earn me a few dollars each month in ad revenue. I have made more than a few dollars from affiliate sales and income from referrals gained through links in posts on my blogs. My blogs help me to earn a better income from other sites.

A single blog or website can make money from ads and affiliate links if it has a particular theme and is optimized for search engines. That way the traffic it gets will be from visitors who are actively searching for information on that topic.

Visitors are more likely to click on ads or banners and links if they visit your site or blog because you offer useful information in your content, and some of your visitors will want to buy what is advertised or promoted there.

i have a blog but i really lazy to update it.many people get much money from there.usually they monetize the blog or site.but i dont know for sure to write good content that attract many people to come,i dont know to about seo management.anyone can give me e book to learn how to manage blog or site correctly?i wanna make my site/blog better then i will join adsense too
