Be yourself?

I am very proud of being who and what I am - which, at this point, amounts to several different things: woman, transperson, writer, singer, person with a disability, interested in learning new things, good at communicating, language geek, movie freak...and a whole lot of other things.

I remember reading a similar quote to the one you posted - "be yourself, everybody elkse are already taken". I wish people in general were more happy with and proud of who and what they are, it would make the world a better place for sure.

I wouldn't say I'm proud to be who I am, but I am happy with myself. I think it is terribly sad that so many people think that they have to be someone else, but I think a lot of that wears off as you get older.

I would say, for the most part, I am happy with who I am. I know there are a lot of ways I can improve .... work needed here! I am comfortable enough to be 'in' the crowd without following it. I much prefer being an original than a copy.

What a great thing for a teacher to have ended your school career with.

A teacher once told me that I didn't fit the mark scheme. He meant about my English essay but I have taken that to symbolise me generally - and am very proud of it.

I am very proud of myself. Never have I let the opinions of others affect my personality. I actually strived to be different. I dodn't want to fit in with the norm. No cliques for me. I was me, and if people didn't like me, oh well. As a result, I am happily married, have been for 10 years now, I have four beautiful daughters, and the good friends I had back in school are still here for me. I may not be a beauty queen, I'm not rich, and I am still the girl raised in the country with next to nothing, but I am me. God made me in the image He wished, and for that alone I am special. What's not to be proud of?
