I have membership to a library about four and a half miles away. I used to work in the town and visit there regularly but nowadays, I have no easy way of getting to that library, so I use the mobile one that comes to the village once a month.
Brightest Blessings.

I have had a library card for the local library system since I was 5! That was the youngest age they would allow you to get your own card.
In recent years, I havent been to the library nearly as frequently as I went when I was younger. Many of my friends also like to read. We all pass around the books that we own. That way we get to read a lot of books without having to buy them all or worry about due dates!
Lately, though, I have been picking up the library habit again. Just last week, I went to the library to borrow some cookbooks. I borrowed a dozen!
I havent been able to go through all of them yet, but I have found some great recipes!
I want to visit a bigger branch as well so I can borrow some books about travel. I need to start planning more of my European vacation!
I love the library because it is free and there are so many options to choose from each time! I think people use the library far less than they used to because of the internet. I hope that doesnt mean that the libraries will start to disappear! I dont know what I would do without them!

During my schooldays, I was a member in the school library. At that time, my family was very poor, so could not afford to spend on story books. Moreover during those days, there were lots of English story books, so I could read all the books I wanted. When I started working, I could spend on books, so I no longer visit or join any libraries. Moreover most of the libraries are so hopeless - their collection of books is pathetic!

Yes, I have a library card. I've had it for several years now. Like you said you did, I used to read all the time and would often check books out at the library quite a bit when I was a kid and in my early teens. For some reason though, over time I lost that habit too. But it's definitely something I want to pick back up. I have been thinking of heading up to my local library soon. There's a book I've been really wanting to read and I found out that my local library has a copy of the book so I figure now is a pretty good time to start reading more and using the library again.

All my life i never went to any library. When i was still in elementary and high school, my friend often asking me to go with them to the library. I never came go with them. When i want to read books, i bought it at the book store and the books becomes my private inventory of collections completely.

Well, I still believe reading is a good habit even though computer has become more and more popular. My profession is a computer engineer and I use computer more than 10 hours per day. And I support computer's convenience and comprehensiveness.
But I still miss the time I went to library in university. I think staying in library and reading a book is a relaxing and silent feeling.

I have a membership to a couple different libraries, unfortunately I haven't been in probably 10 years. It's silly really, because I still read all the time, I just started buying my books instead of checking them out. As I'm writing this I realize how not cost effective this is, especially since I rarely reread the same book. Maybe it's time to take a trip to the library.
