Do you have membership in libraries?

I have had a library card for the local library system since I was 5! That was the youngest age they would allow you to get your own card.

In recent years, I havent been to the library nearly as frequently as I went when I was younger. Many of my friends also like to read. We all pass around the books that we own. That way we get to read a lot of books without having to buy them all or worry about due dates!

Lately, though, I have been picking up the library habit again. Just last week, I went to the library to borrow some cookbooks. I borrowed a dozen! I havent been able to go through all of them yet, but I have found some great recipes!

I want to visit a bigger branch as well so I can borrow some books about travel. I need to start planning more of my European vacation!

I love the library because it is free and there are so many options to choose from each time! I think people use the library far less than they used to because of the internet. I hope that doesnt mean that the libraries will start to disappear! I dont know what I would do without them!

Yes I have a membership at the Library, I come to the Library everyday, just to Mylot, I get to use the computer here, at the Library for two hours, and I get 17 discussions answered, this helps my earning to go up, and it helps my points to go up to, I try to make my answers to my discussions long because, they pay for a long discussions, I use to type short answer to my friends, discussions but I saw where I wasn't makeing any earnings.

Yes, I have one membership in my local library. I have a library card that will entitle me to check out ten books. I just went to the libray last week. I checked out some books for me and my kids. We all enjoyed them..

My library card is attached to my truck keys. I am there often if only to get some suggestions and ideas from the wonderful people who work there. Every year I volunteer for a couple of readings and that is also a lot of fun. I know them all by name and whenever I arrive they have a list of things they think I should check out. Visit the library. It is still a treasure.

Yes, I have a library card. I've had it for several years now. Like you said you did, I used to read all the time and would often check books out at the library quite a bit when I was a kid and in my early teens. For some reason though, over time I lost that habit too. But it's definitely something I want to pick back up. I have been thinking of heading up to my local library soon. There's a book I've been really wanting to read and I found out that my local library has a copy of the book so I figure now is a pretty good time to start reading more and using the library again.

Things are different than thay in the USA. I live in the county of a large metropolitan city. I pay taxes to the county and the county supports the county public libraries so I can get a library card for the county fre of charge and in return I can use any of the county libraries. I know people who live in the city and the same is true. PLUS I know a neighbor who lives by my in the county so they have the same card I have BUT they work in the city so city earnings tax is taken out of their paychecks so this in turn lets them also have a public library card from the city. To apply for that card they just proved their city earnings tax being taken out of their paycheck by taking a paycheck stub to the library. Is that understandable for you? I hope so. I know you are not in the USA. Basically in the USA libraries are paid for out of our taxes like most of our parks.

During my schooldays, I was a member in the school library. At that time, my family was very poor, so could not afford to spend on story books. Moreover during those days, there were lots of English story books, so I could read all the books I wanted. When I started working, I could spend on books, so I no longer visit or join any libraries. Moreover most of the libraries are so hopeless - their collection of books is pathetic!

I've never not been a library member. I have been daily, but that was more to use the internet which I didn't have at home at the time. I guess every 3 weeks miminum, and I borrow films and books but not music so much these days.

If I need to kill time or escape the rain then a book related palce is where I'll head

I have a membership to a couple different libraries, unfortunately I haven't been in probably 10 years. It's silly really, because I still read all the time, I just started buying my books instead of checking them out. As I'm writing this I realize how not cost effective this is, especially since I rarely reread the same book. Maybe it's time to take a trip to the library.

I go to the public library about once a month this last year.
