That which was lost is found....

Awww... I am happy to hear that he is home now. What a relief that must be.

oh is that so must be very happy on his return. I this there should a treat arranged for the moments of returned cat..i feel many face this problem. Once i had lost my baby cat when i was not at home later some how i managed to get it back with the help of my friend. It was crying in the meadows which were back of my house. The whole day we were searching for the baby cat and atlast found it..

I tink a collar is a good idea. And try not to put him in the doghouse for too long or shower him with too many kisses....

We had a cat, Tiger, gray n white tabby stripped, when I was growing up that liked ot go for rides. He was my brothers cat and would climb up in the back window of his car and go to sleep. One day he disappeared. There had been another car identical to my brothers old dodge visiting one of the neighbors. We figured the cat must have climbed in and was taken for a ride. We never saw the car again and though the cat was gone for good. Bet two weeks later we heard a soft meow on the service porch. Thinking it was one of our cats friends we opened the door to find a dirty, skinny cat that didn't look anything like our Tiger but went straight for his food bowl. He was a dirty gray all over and his feet were sore. He never climbed in another car for a nap and had to be on a leash and harness when he did travel after that. Maybe something similar happened with your cat. Or perhaps he made friends with someone who thought he was a stray and took him home and kept him indoors til he finally made his escape and came home. I bet he doesn't stray too far for a while.

What is it with guy cats and running off? My old cat did that so much, he just became an outdoor cat. I'm glad little Richard is safe, though!

I'm soooo glad he came home!! I figured he would but at the time he was too upset to return because of those strangers were there. Bless his sweet heart!! Don't be upset with him because he's already upset enough. He didn't know then any more he does now that they were there for a good reason. All he knows is there were strangers in his house and it scared him. He acted like any cat would. He doesn't have a mind like ours and there's no way to communicate to him but to love him unconditionally and to let him know that he's safe no matter what.
