stress! |
|
I am looking for some good ideas for relieving some stress. I am working extra long days and planning my wedding. I don't have much time left with my days once I get everything done that needs to be done, but I need some ideas for relieving some stress.
Like today - it's a free day for me. I'm off of work. I have a mile long to do list though and no energy to do it! It's awful.
So I'm curious as to how you relieve stress or regain that energy you need to make it through the day.

Like 100, 99, 98, 97, 96 ..... 1 etc. You may get good result. Happy wedding ceremony. May God bless us all.

2. abkinsey (165) | 8 months ago | I have lots of things I do for stress relief: prayer, meditation, deep breathing, talking with others, surfing the net, playing games, watching a funny movie, exercising, and even grabbing a piece of chocolate cake. So, maybe that last one isn't the healthiest (lol), but there are lots of ways to reduce stress. Also, try prioritizing your to-do list and focus on doing just THREE of those things each day. This way, only the most important things will get done. Everything else will work out. I promise. You don't have to be super woman. Take good care.:-)

4. sandymay48 (1128) | 8 months ago | My greatest stress reliever is to swim! It is my favourite thing to do. Often I will go to a hotel and use their pool to swim when its winter, Its much less crowed than a recreation center pool. Exercise is the greatest stress releiver however after the exercise, you will still be too tired to get anything done. Just make a list of what you plan to do the night before. In the morning, eat, shower, whatever you would normally do and tell yourself, you are going to accomplish everything on this list A wedding is stressful but its over so fast, you will be wondering what all the fuss was about. You will probably decide that you may have done things different or cheaper. Its the ceremony that is most important. The rest is just added rituals. It will all be over before you know it and you will be fine!

Jennlk84 (2275) | 8 months ago | I LOVE swimming! I just wish I had a place to swim year round. Do they charge you to go into a hotel and use their pool? If so, how much? That's a great idea for the winter!

sandymay48 (1128) | 8 months ago | Hi Jenn...Check with your local hotels as its not something they advertise to the public. Here in Canada, a few of them even give yearly memberships to the pool and gym. You can go as often as you like, for as long as you like. Some other Hotels charge anywhere from $2-$4 for a swim, but you can stay in as long as you want. The hotels here that do it are the Holiday Inn, Westin has a yearly membership, Quality Inn, Super 8...these are a few that I know of here that allow outsiders in to swim. I joined the gym at the westin and went 5 days a week in the mornings. I had the whole pool and hot tub to myself!!

5. toosh21 (486) | 8 months ago | I know you say you haven't got much time, but meditation is fantastic for relieving stress & re-energising you...also yoga is great. I use both of these and find them really helpful - in more ways than one...and funnily enough my 2 little boys try and copy me & love it too! There are different types of meditation and they can take different amounts of time - just do some research to find the one best suited to you. Good luck planning the wedding!

6. harryt123 (326) | 8 months ago | Working long days and having a family or other responsibilities can be quite difficult and very stressful in making sure everyone is happy and that the tasks needed to be done are completed. Some good tips is giving yourself some "you" time. You can spend this time doing things that you enjoy, maybe going out for a walk, treating yourself to a coffee or even a movie. Exercising is also a great way to relive stress from our everyday lives. I do know what you are going through as I have had similar experiences with having too much to do in so little time. Take a moment to closer your eyes, breathe and meditate or do some yoga to relieve some of the built up stress. I always remind myself, no matter how hard I work, I have to work twice as hard to make sure that I am taking care of myself.
