How long does your pill take to work?  | |  I am waiting on my ambian to put me to sleep. I think it is working a little. Since my typing is getting really slow. I want to feel my eyes falling shut. It takes about 40 minutes for this tiny 10 mg pill to work.

| | | | | | | | 1.  lynnemg (3590) | 8 months ago |  I think that is about right for most pills. The medicine that I take usually takes 30-45 minutes to kick in. If I am taking a muscle relaxer or pain reliever, I can always tell when it is kicking in because I get really drowsy!

| | | 3. muscles4me (9131) | 8 months ago |  Every once in awhile I will take an Excederin PM and it takes about 45 minutes for me to fall asleep. I also only stay asleep between 4 and a half and 5 hours. I am scared of that Ambien as there are so many horror stories about people getting in their cars and driving, or going out in the kitchen and preparing a meal. Be careful.
