Does not "LIFE" encompass all the mylot discussion topics?

Mylot is the duplicate of our real world. The only difference may be we are not connected physically but otherwise whatever happenings in real come to light in mylot, in this virtual world. Being in existence for more than 3 years and having a nation of people from all walks of life, it is not surprising that most life subjects and other trivia topics have been covered and what we are seeing now is only the repeat of what has been discussed earlier. Mylot has not only been a great social site to foster friendships globally but it has also drawn interesting people, professional people in all fields who are here to mingle with everyone regardless of their background to share and to impart their most sought after knowledge at no cost. There are no less people here who are lonely and need to talk to others to keep them sane and the retirees who make mylot their second home to keep abreast with the world outside. There also others who find mylot a good place to wash their dirty linen and pour out their most intimate private life to others who are ever willing to listen. To sum it all up, you can find anything under the sun in mylot. What a great site!

I do encounter such kind monotonous life in mylot when discussions have been repetitive and nothing interesting that can draw out the juices from my brain. When it come to that critical stage, all I do is to find some catchy topics, be it real or fictional to inject more life to this place, at least I can draw some responses which then keep me busy commenting back.

I think Mylot is nice replication of all aspects of life. Here there are discussions about everything under the sun. It is also very nice forum where we can post our problems and get kind advices.

I think we can dig out thousands of replicas of the same topic and thoughts here with little bit of variation here and there. This is justified for we hardly go to search option and search for our general queries. The TAG option is highly under used here. Coming to personal, relationship type of discussions, we all think that our problems are unique and different and we go about starting yet another discussion without even realizing it!

Having said this, i think this place is like our diary where we want to vent out things that we go through in real life and we must let go ourselves uninhibited. It does get monotonous and drab at times but then its a signal to take a break, breathe and get more options with real activities.

Personally, I try to take a break but guess what, nothing kind of works and I keep coming back to myLot just because of my friends. they have been wonderful. I just do not want to miss them.

I believe that if we can focus on minds in the here and now, we can see life as Self. That is, we create out life and we are (i.e. I-am consciousness) is the space in which life unfolds. It encompasses the infinitely small and infinitely large. It is the essence of the universe - here and now. It always was and is. - Derek

I believe MyLot discussions covers most of life in the topics.. I say most because there is still the imagination to come up with more. Imagination is a part of life, our thoughts, but we have the ability to create from our imagination and one man's imagination can always be unknown to another. So basically you are right, life is too vast a subject to discuss

The ad that I saw about mylot is a forum site where we can help different people about different issues in life. And I think this proves why most discussions comes from one's experiences, problems or simply about something in their lives.

Hi Rajib, You do make a good point and indeed life would cover most topics. I choose life when I feel that the topic is general to most people but for example, I want to write about the Bible, I would not consider it a topic for everyone. I guess we need different categories because some people might want to write about their pets and others have no interest in the subject at all. Blessings.

Are there not many variations on any one given theme? The more specific we can be with our discussions the more our responses will reflect what we are truly interested in.

I think it's done so that you can easily seek out your interests within discussions. If "Life" encompassed all of the discussions, you wouldn't know which area of life it was about, or whether you wanted to respond, so it's split down into categories of interest.

Well I think our participation in mylot is similar in some cases to writing our biographies. If we could put all the questions together and gather all the answers we gave, we could learn a lot about ones life. What kind of food they like, if they are sick, have they had a bad relationship, what they like and dislike..Who needs to write a book...Just read mylot!!
