well thats my story too, i too face problem in making friends that are really very good. i have very less friends and only have got one best friend.but i think the most good part of people like us is that we can learn to live in any condition, and we learn many things in our life very easily. so you can use those skills of yours and change your nature a bit like i have done with my nature. Believe me it is really good felling when you have a positive attitude, more people attract towards you and you are likely to make new friends more often.

Hi Daisiejanie, I am the opposite and had very few family members but lots of friends and even though I have now moved hundreds of miles away still keep in touch. The best way to perhaps meet people in your new area though is through your daughter, the parents of her school friends and maybe search on Facebook or another site like Friends Reunited for your old friend, she is probably thinking and wondering about you from time to time too. If you have a particular hobby you enjoy join a local group for it, you new friends will also have similar interests to you. Good luck. Huggles. Ellie:D

I guess I'm kind of a loner too. I have social anxiety though, I'm not comfortable around many people. but i definitely miss having friends and people to share with.
My family is also very small. I just lost my mom, my dad is all I have left. I have half brothers and sisters but I never get to talk to or see them. I'm expecting a little girl this september, so she will be getting all of my attention:)
