Are you the odd one out in your family?

me and my dad are the odd ones out. my sister, brother, and mom have like the same brain. none of them like what i like, and i don't like most what they like. my dad on the other hand likes stuff i do, and stuff i dont, but the problem with my dad is he smokes and i need to get him to stop. lol. i my sister is complete opposite of everybody though, she has a passion for disney channel, and everything on it....EVERYTHING!!!

My goodness, she must have been offended to have been alienated from the picture taking just because she stands out different from the rest of the family. Lol...she must be a beautiful woman and her inclusion in the group photo would outshine the bride. It is such a sad incident and I take pity on her as she really did not asked to be born differently. Well, in my family I think I am the ugly duckling. First, I am on on the heavy side while the rest of my siblings are petite. Our skin tone are all alike and our physical features strongly resembles each other especially our eyes. Someone has ever commented to me that our eyes is our trademark. When you see one you see all. So there is no discrimination whatsoever that can divide us. Who cares of skin color if they come from the same bloodline. She could have inherited her looks from her fair grandparents.

Well, I'm not sure if I was the black sheep, I think that's a bit far out, as I'm not radical in any way, but in 1956 when television was introduced in Australia, I would rather listen to records in the lounge than sit with the rest of the family in the front of the TV.

I think, I am the black sheep in my family. If not physically but certainly intrinsically. I am quirky and not like a normal Indian girl. I remember taking some bold steps that no one in the family ever took. I had to suffer the consequences but that's other matter altogether.

Yep, I'd have to say that I am definitely the odd one out. Most of my family (at least on my mom's side) have done pretty well for themselves. One of my cousins works for Fox, another is a karate expert, a couple more went into the service, and the list goes on. I on the other hand am just a mom. Not that there's anything wrong with being a mom...

I am the black sheep in my family...I'm the only mixed race person, the only adopted one and the only one who walks to her own beat and hasnt been brainwashed...I dont hide the family secrets/skeletons (much to their dislike) and I am my own person (again much to their dislike)....

Is this the discussion you posted under wife? It's still a good one. Well yes, I am the black sheep of the family. I don't look any different from them, but my parents and sister are completely opposite of me. We don't share the same interests, we have totally different views on a lot of matters, and basically sometimes they look at me as if they don't know where I cam from. People have asked me before how did I get interested and involved in so many things when there was not a hint of interest with the rest of my family. I kind of like it though. I don't mind being different.

I was a little confused by this as I didn't know the term 'black sheep of the family' had an opposite (white sheep) and was thought of in this sense. I assumed that it meant someone that has been outcast by the family. We learn something new every day I expect the woman felt very embarrassed and hurt at that and hope the family let the photographer know that he/she was wrong.
I am from a mixed race family, dad is black and from Belize and mum is white and Scottish, but fortunately we have never come across this type of thing. Instead of merely excluding dad from any possible family photos, mum's siblings ostracized her from the family entirely!

My family is all odd people out. You should see my family pictures. The oldest is mixed race (she's my step daughter) We have two red heads, a blond, a couple of dark brown, and my yuck colored hair.

Come to think of it we have as many different religious faiths as we do hair color.
