I have read many stories about all the actors who were tested for the part of Scarlett O`Hara in the epic "Gone With The Wind". My question is: Was Gene Tierney ever considered for this roll. She was the right age, she was beautiful, a good actor, and showed she could pull off a Southern accent in the movie; Belle Star" , which was an early Randolf Scott flick.

Gone With The Wind has always been one of my favorite movies. I don't know if Gene Tierney was considered for this role or not. I just always knew that Vivien Leigh played it. I just didn't know any other actresses were considered for it. I remember the movie Belle Starr. That was a good movie, too. I like westerns, anyway. Kathy.
