 I'm a little frustrated because I was going to go with friends to the midnight premier of the Half-Blood Prince on July 16/17 but now they moved it up to Wednesday instead of Friday and I can't go Tuesday night/Wednesday morning because of work. I can go here by myself but the friends I was going to go with are in another city about 200 miles away so going with them was kind of a big deal.
Does anyone know why, after all the trailers came out with July 17 and all the posters say July 17 they decided to release it on the 15th instead?

1.  inkstainedheart (476) | 8 months ago |  It could be because they didn't want to compete with other movies released on the 17th, although the only major kids movie I have seen advertised for that date is G-Force and that just looks ridiculous. I would definitely pick HP over that drivel.

 crimsonladybug (2032) | 8 months ago | According to Rotten Tomatoes, G-Force starts July 24. The only other movies starting on the 17th are In the Loop, a political satire with James Gandolfini, and 500 Days of Summer, a romantic-ish comedy with Zooey Deschanel.
Besides, after all the insistence that Twilight had nothing to do with them moving it back from Thanksgiving last year to this summer, moving it up to avoid competing with a Pixar flick about guinea pig spies is a ridiculous notion.

You have to reschedule and think of another thing to do to that vacant allotted time you have for HP. Hhmm..
Anyway, with th HP's reputation, it would take lots of weeks before it's over in cinemas. you can still have another date to watch it. I can't wait to see it. ENJOY the movie!!;)
