Do You Know The Love Story Of Your Parents?

My parents met in high school. That is all I know.

My Grandmother died this last December. At the funeral, my Grandfather explained their story. He said not many people knew it. My Grandmother was a year older than my Grandfather. They were in the same math class - because my Grandfather was in the senior math class as a junior. He thought she was really pretty. One of his buddies told him he would never get her. So he asked her out on a date. Sure enough he got the date - and 59 years of marriage!

I do know my parents love story and am so happy about that. They met through a co-worker of my moms and began dating. They went to Friday night movies and had dinner out and danced each Saturday night at a regular places. They also loved to go fishing together.

When they married a year later, my mom was 26, my dad 35...later in life than most people married in the late 1940s, but they went on to have eight children and were married for almost 45 years before my father passed away.

I hope someday you can learn of how your own parents met.

oh yes, but not in detail. what i know is how they met, when did they got married, their sacrifices, how did my dad introduced my mom to his family and relatives...even past boyfriends of my mom, i had known.

Yes I do. My dad was a Taxi driver in Mexico and my mother was a Teacher. And one day my father saw her asking for a taxi and he offered his services. This was after her class, so everyday after school my dad would pass by the same spot to pick her up. My mom use to think that he was a total loser, but then he ended up asking her out and my mother said yes. They went out for six months after that until they got married. This was over 20 years ago.

Yes..My father was a teacher a my mother her student... from and institute.. they were together a long time then I was born then my sisters.. then they got married..

Well about the love story of my parents, I know one day a mediator being neighbor of my dad took the proposal to my moms parents whom he knew of some sort. Then a meeting was fixed between my mom and dad. They accepted each other and that's why they are my mum and dad and that's why I am here today hehe...This is called the arranged marriage.

yeah. I know the love story of ma parents. I heard it from my uncle. Its him who helped them to marry. There are lot of adventures in my parents love life. My dad even got arrested by cops twice before the marriage and once after my dad took off my mom to some temple and married her. Its my other uncle who gave complaint about my dad that he kidnapped my mom. There was nearly a war between the two families. But now they are all cool and frequently visit.[:)]..

From what I heard, though its mostly from my mom and not a word from our father.

They met during college, my dad a year lower than mom but, dad was insistent. One time, when mom was going home, dad insisted to come with her as in to send her home. Mom wasn't very enthusiastic about it as her parents were really strict and all they know that was mom didn't have any relationship at that time. Dad thought that she was simply playing hard to get so that motivated him more.

By the time they arrived home, mom's father caught them and brought dad inside their house. Full of interrogations and it was really a big scene as neighbors would also hear everything, windows open with loud voices from my mom's father.

Mom said that it was too much so to make her parents doubt her no more, she actually recognized my dad even though a lot of suitors had actually failed, she said some were from different countries and others holding some sort of title.

Well, even though my mom is sometimes sarcastic and tells us that she really didn't love dad that time, I'm the sixth child that they brought up (^_^")

They are weird..

My mom and dad never discussed their love story with us. I've never heard them say anything about how they've met and how my they fell inlove with each other. My sister said that my mom was pregnant when my dad married her.
